After six years with Unilever, John Wilson spent 25 years with the Ladbroke Group plc in a number of senior roles. He was Operations Director of Ladbroke Taverns and Restaurants and Deputy Managing Director of Ladbroke Hotels in the UK. In 1985 he moved to Dallas, Texas to take up the role of President of Rodeway Inns International, responsible for 160 franchised and managed hotels. Following the acquisition of Hilton International by Ladbroke, he returned to the UK and became Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive - Vice President of Hilton International, responsible for 200 hotels worldwide. In 1998 John became Chief Executive Officer of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc. During his six years in that role, the company grew from 24 hotels to over one hundred globally in the four and

five star market. In 2003, John retired and has subsequently assumed the following responsibilities:

He is an Executive Director of Dedeman Hotels and Resorts International - the largest hotel company in Turkey with over 20 hotels in Turkey and adjoining countries.
He is a member of the National Advisory Board of the University of Nevada.
In addition to being a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, John was awarded an honorary Doctorate by the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, for his contribution to the international hospitality business.
